Looking for info on the lodge on the Denali hwy

Being that our lynx season has been closed here on the peninsula I am thinking I'd like to go up north and do some calling for a few days. I'd like to get into some fox too. If I remember right the last few years there has been a Lodge off the Denali that placed an add on the forum here offering a special to forum members but I can't find it now. Does anyone know of the place I am speaking of. Has anyone tried calling up there. I was on the Paxson side last year and seen lots and lots of tracks but I wasn't hunting at the time. I'd like to give it a shot for a weekend.

Alpine lodge owner Claude is a member of this forum. His user name is Denalihunter. Look him up. They have a very comfy and beautiful lodge just past the susitna river bridge. I believe the highway is closed to vehicles now but snowmachines are allowed. Good luck to you.

Alpine Creek Lodge. Great people, really nice accommodations (I like renting the Trapper's Cabin if the main cabin is going to be relatively busy - quieter when I'm ready to sleep), and potentially some good hunting. A couple winters ago I took two lynx and a fox on a trip up there. I didn't get anything last year and the lynx numbers seem like they're down significantly, but there are still lots of fox in the area and certainly a few lynx around. It goes without saying, but the ptarmigan hunting can be great as well.

I'll be up there calling again in February (if not sooner).

Alpine Creek Lodge is at mile 68 of the Denali Hwy. Dang near dead center between Paxson and Cantwell. Stayed there in October while 'bou hunting.
Claude and crew are pretty cool folks. Nice lodge...

If you're headed up soon, as of December 6th the first 15 miles are pretty thin, snow-wise but it gets deeper the further east you go. The road is still driveable to the Su bridge.

I would park at the gravel pit at MP 119/120 and snowmachine in from there. Run scratchers on your machine.
