Like many things, I had my mind made up today when I walked into the local sporting goods store, I was going to own a .460 s&w with the 5inch barrel, nuff said. I like the size, and the variety of rounds being able to shoot etc etc, plus my brother owns the 454 and lets just say there maybe a competition thing underlying somewhere.
I hadn't even seen the 454 410 Taurus. this brings up a whole new dilemma. Now you can have a bear gun and a grouse gun in one package?
So I guess I have to ask if anybody has shot the 454 410 and what did they think about the 410 aspect of it? I would think the shot out of the short barrel would scatter too much to be effective at much of a distance? What opinions are out there regarding the recoil difference between the 454 410 and 460? the other benefit of the 454 is about 400 dollars cheaper.
Help!
