Length of season and time slots awarded

I know in the past when I have drawn permits, the department issues different time slots for when you can go. Does anyone know how we can find out what time slot we will be awarded? For example, if my wife drew a nelchina caribou tag, I am assuming that she will be given a 2 week window when she could go, and not the full length of the season. Does anyone know the answer to this question? It would be very nice to know for planning purposes.

There are only a handful of hunts where time slots are dictated by the department. For the Nelchina caribou drawing permit hunt the season is August 20-Sept 20, and again from October 21-March 31. The caveat is that they may close the season early if the harvest objective is met by a combination of drawing permit and Tier I permit holders. As long as the season is open, though, your wife will be allowed to hunt it. My suggestion would be to hunt it as early as possible in case the season closes early, but whatever you choose, you're not locked into any 2-week window.
