It's because the link is referencing a location on his computer, not the internet. Unless he reposts, the link will never work...It will work for him though, since he's on his machine...

whoa, could you tell us a little more about this? How did you catch it? Were you on the bank? I live in Palmer and am trying to teach myself and my kids to fish. I rode my bike thru the trails there alot last summer and I saw people fishing there but had no idea there were anything like the fish you're describing in there!

I took my kids out to matanuska lake with an ugly stik I got at walmart, I basically was just trying to show them how to cast from the shore (to the best of my own knowledge, I'm sure I was doing it wrong myself.)

I went on a guided silver fishing trip on the little-su and mentioned what I was trying to do on Matanuska lake and the guy just laughed at me. I didn't know there was serious fishing there.

pretty much now is a good time to start hitting the lakes for trout on the gravel areas close to shore. It is only as serious as you want to make it, but since kids are involved if you want them to have fun I wouldn't get real gun ho about it. Get a couple books like the road side angler or what not at the store here or any fishing store should have them and go have fun.

Thanks, that's exactly what I'll do. I was overwhelmed when looking at the selection of books before, I didn't know which to start with.

That is awesome! Thanks for sharing the pics. Everytime I drove by there this weekend I saw many people standing in the parking area.

Did you eat the trout? How did you cook it? I've never eaten trout.
