I'm looking for some ideas for that weekend. I have a long weekend and I'd like to take the family somewhere special camping and fishing, but what's really hot that weekend? It seems like a time between runs. I'll have an ocean boat, jet boat, and my drift boat available. Are silvers out at the end of resurection bay by then? Reds on the Kenai? Kings on the Deshka? Any place special on PWS? I'm looking for a great weekend idea from an Alaskan who knows from experience. Thanks.

I have camped Willow and LIttle Willow creek on the 4th of July a couple of times. The Kings are still hot but most have turned colors. There are still keepable kings but not as much as there would be in mid to late June. Its an option.

I spent the weekend at Deep Creek and the river was chocolate milk and dead as were Ninilchik and anchor. Speaking to the guides in the area they dont believe the Kings have made a good run at the rivers yet, that being said July 1st time frame might still have a few in the rivers by then. Out in the salt the Kings were being caught with frequency, I landed a 35 pounder myself and a couple of 30+ lb halibut
