What I was complaining about was the short notice and only being in the paper. Plus trying to give Frank some suport which I'm sure he did not need. Because I just looked in the regs and the hunt was listed anyways. Open mouth insert foot.

If I am reading it correctly in the regs they never had Fairbanks as a place to pick up permits. It appears as they they added that since the regs were printed. Is this because they have more permits available than they originally thought would be?

Wow! I think that I could enter a post about the taste of chocolate and get heated responses on this forum. I was actually done "ranting" as soon as we hit the girl scout topic.
As far as taking a day off from work with one day notice? Or even having to take a day off at all? I can't even begin to understand that mentality. I was simply stating my opinion on how a system like this is unfair. Heck, it doesn't even matter that much anyway. My vacation days are going to be used for hunting; not standing in line overnight for a chance at a tag. Come on!

Frank I appologize. It was my misconception. By reading your first post I took it to be a regular registration hunt, but after reading the article I can see it's not. I now understand your frustration.

You don't have to wait in line all night for a chance, if you are in line and one of the first 40 there you get a tag, if not you can go home and go to bed. If it was a draw tag you may NEVER get drawn.
If you read the regs you would have known about it months ago. It is everyones responsibility to read the regs.
