um... Wasilla...
Shift the cost of gun violence back onto those who own the weapon? Seriously?

I can hear it now....

"Yeah, I just shot a few people. But it's OK, I've got insurance."

You always hear about the criminal ,or criminal's family, suing whoever wounded or killed the attacker. Why doesn't the criminal or his family ever get sued for producing such a piece of crap?

it's not legal to force people to have insurance on a constitutional right and will not hold up in court. If anything it shows how they are grasping at straws to shove their agenda down our throats.

even that can be challenged in court, trying to restrict a constitutional right by making it to expensive is not legal either......

Todays voting is nothing like it was written to to be so many they can tax it now that its intent has been mute for so long.

There is really only one underlying purpose for this "insurance", it is to punish gun owners. Any future taxes and fees placed upon guns and ammo will also be to punish them. This is how the government deals with undesirables such as smokers, people who drink alcohol, etc. It does not punish the elite nor the well-connected who continue to live as they please; it only punishes the average guy.

This administration has shown us a window into its psyche many times over, beginning with the "... bitter and cling to their guns and religion..." comment made in San Francisco. I firmly believe the objective of this administration is to wear gun owners down through disparagement, capitalizing on crises, government ammo buy-ups, and making the overall cost of shooting so exorbitant that it is untenable. Just as with Mr. Obama's statement to those thinking about building new coal powered electric plants during the 2008 election run- that they could do it but it would be so expensive it would not be feasible- that is how they roll.

FYI - I have deleted a number of posts from this thread that had nothing to do with 2A issues. You may not care for recent health care legislation, but this is not the forum on which to express such positions.

Furthermore, our rules concerning personal attacks extend to public officials. If you feel the need to call people names - regardless of their position - find another forum to participate in.
