Importance of Planning!

Good morning Guys!

I received a distressed call from a group (not one of my groups) who had just started a 3-4 day wilderness trip. These rafters were in a huge panic about the river conditions that they were encountering and wanted advice on how to proceed. I am always happy to help anyone so don't be shy about dropping me a email or a phone call but do it before you launch!

Planning is the key to any successful trip. Gather every bit of info you can before you take off and you will have fewer crisis situations and you will be better prepared for the real crisis when they pop up.


I know that this is basic knowledge to most of you but for the rest of us planning, maps and taking what you need will allow you to have a better trip.

Won't be going any further North than the Kwethluk this season. I will indeed look you up, I'll bring the beer!
