Finger Lake had a foot of ice today.

I was fishing in willow area and there was 12"+ there

I drilled the first hole on Finger Lake yesterday and it was about 18"

I was out on sat, went to a lake just a bit north of wasilla, was about 20 inches of ice, then knik lake, at least 18 inch of ice.

Anyone been out on Birch or Harding lakes ?

Havent heard anything & wanting to go out fishing.

What are the conditions like our there in the valley lakes? I stopped by Matanuska lake on Friday and there was very thin ice by the shore. I heard a truck went in in one of the meadow lakes. I didn't get out over the weekend.

I observed over the weekend that the area between Kepler/Bradley lakes and the bridge has some open water. Also looked like the ice around the edges are starting to recede.

It's still 22-23 inches in Anchorage.

Hit up an Anchorage lake today. The ice was around 20+ inches.

I fished one of the valley Lakes yesterday and there was at least a foot of open water around the edges. The auger cut through 15 to 16 inches of ice. I drove to the boat ramp at Finger Lake and there must have been two or two and a half feet of Open Water, I don't think anyone will be driving on it anymore this year.

Lake near me in meadow lakes has a few feet of open water around the edges too, and the warmer lake is completely ice free.... The lake that still had ice had 18 inches where we were at. The beaver pond I fish for pike in the spring is completely open, here in meadow lakes area, usually its got some ice till late april ish.

Checked out a few lakes in Anchorage today. Jewel, Sand and little campbell all had about 3 inches. Any reports from the Valley area?
