Timbers are great and drop right in. I have two and they both work great after thousands of rounds.

If you would'nt have corrected that I'd have thought it was an intentional play on words..............timber...drop
As in timber falls when you cut it...........TIIMMMMBBBEERRRRRR

Its kinda funny that Remington advertises the R15 and R25 with a "single stage trigger" yet my R25 feels like a 2 stage to me?

As one author put it well "A two stage trigger requires two breaths when shooting controlled shots".... Hold it - squeeze thru first stage - feel wall relax hold breath and finish the firing sequence...
Kinda like Date Night with the wife - Hold your thought - take her to a nice meal - then a movie - relax on way home - then hold that thought again as now your in the second stage - squeeze and brace yourself for impact - hopefully its not a frying pan! :)

The last gun battle I got into in my nieghborhood here in wasilla. I was putting some lead out, I couldn't tell if I had 2 stage trigger or factory trigger.

I didn't buy mine to get into shoot outs with my neighbors, got enough of that in Iraq. I bought mine for accurate long range shooting and anyone that has done any will know that the trigger is the link between hunter and the weapon and key to well placed shots.

I do appreciate your input.

Stid,
Did you get that VX-R scope yet?

I did, they are new and I had to wait for it to ship. However, once it arrived it was about 1/2 too short and on that Sako the bases can't be shifted. It was very nice glass and I really liked the illuminated reticle. So, I sent it back an ordered a Swarovski Z6i Illuminated Series 1-6x24 for it and I'm waiting for it to arrive.
