Ok i'm new here and have a few questions about hunting trip insurance. I have booked a drop camp moose hunt for this September. this is a big investment for me and if for some unforseen reason I can't make it I don't want to lose all my money! does anybody have any advice or suggestions? Thanks.

I mostly just keep a note in my pocket in case something happens.

You can probably get insurance to cover your travel (r/t air) from wherever you buy the plane tickets. Not sure about insurance that would cover your costs once you were on the ground in AK (outfitter, air taxi deposits, hunt planner, etc.). Have you talked to any kind of insurance agent - they might not cover you, but may know where you could find what you're asking for.

Agree - it's worth reading carefully to know just what is covered and what isn't.
Besides your costs, I'd ask any questions about qualifying circumstances too - what if you're weathered in for 8 days of a 10-day hunt? Technically, you have 2 days left, but you can't hunt on the day you fly in, so...

Interesting HuntNBgame - well done! I plugged in $5500.00 / cancel any reason / 100k flight ins for momma / and it came back $361.80
I would DEF want to call and talk with these folks though as its a bit vague on if its just airline travels or a bearded recluse guide living in tim-buc-to you are canceling...

Taht is one bad luck trip, I complain about getting a flat on my 4 wheeler, i coudnt imagine having all these things go wrong in such a short period of time. Insurance sounds like a great idea to me.
