Heading To Wasilla

Hey everybody,

I'm going to be around Wasilla for about 5 days from June 10 to around June 17. I was wondering if anybody can point me out in the right direction for a do it yourself type of hunt for black bear around the area. I'm primarily going for the fishing, but if it seems like I have the time to do the hunt, I'd like to give it a try. Also, how is the King Salmon run going now around the area? Honestly there are a lot of areas... and A LOT of hunters using bait. your best bet would be to take your boat (if you have one) and hit the rivers up. Or go around and glass the hills. I hear hatcher pass has some areas that do well on foot (if your able to hoof the hills)
