If you are in the valley, check out the guy around the corner from Fred Meyers on the Palmer-Wasilla. He is next to the old Wet Willys car wash. 15 gall clear poly barrels for $20. Also 20 or 25 gall for slightly more.

Thanks guys....

Thanks guys....

My boat is 16', 350 carb, 6 blade carbon, up and down steering, 78 hours on motor...and I need to learn how to run it effectively and efficently....I tried it out on the Knik and I will have to learn to use the trim tabs to my advantage...boy, I think an airboat is the way to go for me...

I would like to replace the trailer axle with a tandem axle set up, but that might have to wait for more money to be saved up...LOL. I might even paint it, but the wife says she likes it the way it is...

I am trying to attach a picture..we will see if it works.

calndux ,

Do you have 2 tanks or 1 ? I put another tank on mine so I now hold 50 gal. Leonard said he could put a 100 gal tank on there .I run from the big Su bridge up and into sheep river on one tank.

I just uploaded it from my computer and made it smaller it in my photo shop.

Nice boat you got...

Nice boat you got...

I think I am a computer idiot...LOL

I have Kodak to load picture and I have quikstart and I have HP image viewer...and i can't see to get them to work.

I have two tanks for a total of 48 gallons...the 18 and 20 foot boats have more fuel storage...I guess my only option is to add a third or carry poly drums....if I need them...

Sheep River

Sheep River

Congratulations Dux on the new boat... Once you've got the fever it's hard to quit. I'm still waiting on some parts for mine so I can get it back into the water.

Roger, How's the run up sheep river? I was wanting to go up that way one day this summer with the family.

Lots of water flowing in it now...Really hair raising earlier in the season, We turned around and went up into the canyon...Its alot more scary going around those rollers in an airboat than a jet boat.

Thats a sweet airboat.

We had trim tabs on our airboat. I never used them unless the boat was so loaded it would not get on step. Then I only lowered them a smidge when it was heavily loaded.

I never liked driving down below. I prefer sitting up high, that way I can view the water much easier. Thats just me though.

I use to think I only wanted down steering....

I use to think I only wanted down steering....

but I really like sitting up high....Once I learn how to run it, I will probably run up top most of the time.

Thanks for the compliment on the boat, I think I will enjoy it alot...plus I would like to meet some folks to run with some time..I could learn a thing or too...

Rutting moose gave me some good pointers and I wil have to take him on a long right before long...

Thanks ya'll

Nope not just you ....that was my main preference when I was looking at boats . I put lower steering for the wife and when it was raining . We ran down to Montana creek today man did the wind pick up running 3800 rpms and was not going anywhere , Wish I would have brought the gun seen a couple of nice bears on an island .
