I applied for a new goat hunt....... DG720 (new this year it replaced DG718 and DG719) and checked the site yesterday and I did not draw this hunt. No big deal I thought, odds where less than 10% for the hunts in years past that DG720 replaced (DG720 had 35 total permits available)
But after the Fairbanks Daily News miner published the hunt winners in the newspaper this morning, DG720 was not even listed. So I went back through the hunt winners and not one person of the 4000+ I went through (starting from "A" last names) drew this permit. I went through the Winter Applicants spreadsheet and found at least 3 people before I even got to 300 applicants, I quite reviewing after that.
If anybody out there has drawn this permit or knows someone who has, let me know. Maybe some of you all who applied for this hunt are wondering the same thing as I am........... did they even draw for this hunt.
For statistics sake, I added all the permits available from the winter draw supplement for goats........619 available. This is a differant number then the statisics of TOTAL Goat permits awarded vs applicants that I read from a previous post on this site a few hours ago. I think it said 563 permits were awarded.
What do you all think????
