Hi folks,

Unless you are either brand-new to our site, or are still stumbling through the half-sleep of fishing season in Alaska, you've probably noticed a few cosmetic changes around the site. Frankly, this is the biggest upgrade we've ever done in our 18 years online. We've been working on it since last fall, steadily, with the exception of a five-week trip I took to Asia, to help out some folks over there. At any rate, we wanted to create a thread where you can report anything that's broken, so we can fix it. It's like we just built a brand-new house; there's an outlet that needs a cover, a burned-out bulb over there, some trim that needs a paint touch-up and so on. Please explore the site and let us know what you're finding, okay? We'd like to fix it for you as soon as we can!

Just post them right in this thread, okay?

And for the record, we're talking not only about the forums, but especially about the main site. Where can you find the main site? Glad you asked! The links to the main section are at the top of this page, right under the new name of the site, "Alaska Outdoors Supersite".

Thanks in advance for your help!

I know this is extremely minor but I figured I would mention it. I use Chrome as a browser and I am still seeing the old, green Alaska icon as the little icon on this tab.

Well spotted. I've fixed it. You may need to delete your browser cache to see the changes though. IE in particular really likes to keep ahold of the icons!

It also appears to be the same issue with Tapatalk.

My problem. I sign in and then I find out after typing along reply or trying to see a picture I am kicked out of the forum and everything I typed is now gone. Just happened again, it has been doing this to me since the changes have been made. I finally have gotten tired of it and now I am complaining. Help.

Did some checking on this and the consensus is that it's a browser issue on your end. Try clearing your browser cache and let me know how it goes.

Maybe it's just my desktop settings but when typing a reply, my system is slower than molasses and I have to go back and re-type many of the letters that it missed. I have also tried to copy and paste from Microsoft Works and that doesn't work either. I have tried my Chrome and Explorer browsers with the same result. This does not happen on other sites. Any ideas?
Ps. Great Forum.
Many thanks,
-Dan

I'm running a Mac, MacOS Mojave version 10.4.5 with Safari 12.1.1 as my browser. Logging in is a piece of cake but as soon as I click on a link for a post, everything slows to a crawl. Sometimes it takes four or five minutes to load the page. This makes the site almost useless for me because I don't have that kind of time in the evenings. I've cleared the history and it makes no differnce. Thanks for your help!

Just wanted to circle back with you on this issue; we are aware of it and are working on it. It may be associated with a new system we are launching, which I will announce shortly. Thanks for your patience!

Slowdown issues *should* be fixed and the site running better than ever before. The server backend just needed some love, updates, and extra configuration. Please let me know if this sorts out your issues!

One of our techs is working in the back end of the site today. There may be a glitch or two, but I just checked and am not seeing any problems. Can you post some more specifics? Thanks!

I can't get to New Activity. Still can't do anything in the Mail. Can't answer anyone. Most of the members pictures in their member boxes aren't showing up. When I posted the above posts it never showed up as posted on my end. Came back and now their there. Just strange.
