There is a link you can click on in this article that is interesting. Not everyone is going to agree but it is an interesting concept....I know if I was a criminal, I would pick my victims in NY or Chicago .....and leave these communities alone....

Lunacy is waiting for a cop to show up. Arming and training people is common sense. Probably even Uncle Joe would go along with this, so why is the left crying foul?
I'd like to see more of this from people who have the means to make it happen.

The article states all persons will go thru full background checks and training. Yet, not only is this not good enough, the oppositions position is this extreme......Councilwoman Regina Romero told the Arizona Daily Star that the plan to proliferate shotguns is "reckless."
So if after the BC check and training its still considered "reckless" for citizens to have arms, it seems clear to me that nothing short of disarming citizens is the goal of too many public servants.

I like the insight here cod, thats why I posted the link. What other conclusion could one draw from some of the comments coming from our public servants..... The shotguns in question are single shot 20-gauges....about as safe a weapon as ever devised....

Note also that these are the “underprivileged” poor folks they are always harping on about helping. But because they are poor (and largely minority) the elitists fear empowering them in any real way, they may no longer be so government dependant.
