Gang,

I used to order all my fly rod building materials from Angler's Workshop out of WA, but it looks like the got sold/consumed by a big corporate outfit and are now based in Illinois somewhere and their selection/service/etc is nothing what it used to be.

Any in-state or PNW outfits folks might recommend for sourcing this stuff? Looking to build a 9' 5wt 3 or 4 pc travel rod for my daughter so I can get mine back from her ;) Even Patrick's in Seattle doesn't stock rod building materials any longer - thanks!

If you wanna keep it in the PNW, go with Shoff Tackle...pretty sure they're still open, and they should be google-able.

If you are open to a great rsource outside the PNW, Mud Hole Custom tackle is a rod-builders paradise.

I haven't been to Mountain View Sporting goods for a few years, but they used to carry epoxy, guides, real seats, wrapping thread in the past and I think blanks as well. I was given a few blanks and got everything I needed from Mountain View.

3 Rivers Fly and Tackle carries a good supply and has accounts with many suppliers to put up a custom order.
