Fly out for kings

On our way to Kodiak this July ,we would like to do a one day flyout from Anchorage for Kings Does anyone have a suggestion on where to go and who to book with.Looks like we will be in Anchorage July 17th

That may be getting a little late for kings from Anchorage. Call Trail Ridge air 907 248-0838. They work with a number of guides and lodges and can set you up.

You want the Karluk River, on the west side of Kodiak.
Run timing looks pretty decent.

A little past typical peak, but still insane. You won't believe the Karluk. Millions of sockeye and thousands of kings in a river you can wade across...

Hi Mike! Good to see you are coming up again this summer!! I haven't fished the Karluk but have fished Kodiak a bit. I have only heard excellent things about that fishery. Also if you get time go see Port Lions (sp?) as that place is pretty unique. Also fort Abercrombie just outside of town is nice. Fish the american (creek, river?) for dollies as it's good. I have never done all that well on Pashagshak, but am sure it would be good to. Have fun!
