Whittier (Prince William Sound) is the correct answer, although I was tempted to tell you New Sagoya's or 10th & M lockers..

fishing seward 2013 029.jpg fishing seward 2013 020.jpg So we got on the water at 1pm Wednesday heading out of Seward to do an overnighter on the boat to try to get 2 limits of halibut. Well we did and I then some, 20 halibut 7 silvers and 4 yellow eye. One was 78" at 254lbs and one at 74" 214lbs, what a great trip.

A great day out in PWS. Caught a limit of 6 of these big guys using Kodiak Custom Jigs.

My Biggest Ling

My Biggest Ling

I did not get a weight on this fish but I am guessing at least 40 pounds?

My wife sure was disappointed the derby in Seward wasn't going yet... one weekend too early!

Pow 2013

Pow 2013

Here are a few from our POW trip this summer. I brought my nephew along, to make some memories-

What kind of fish? It was Will's first Alaska rockfish of this type. Not bad for a kid used to sunfish and largemouth bass-

Will with an ocean-bright chum.

Shrimping was amazing-

Not fishing, but anybody have a caption for this one?

I believe the rock fish is a Dusky. Great eating (better than Black Rockfish in my humble opinion.) The salmon appears to be a Chum (also great eating!) Nice pic's!

Dusky was my first guess a well, maybe silver grey, but looks to dark and head doesn't look like ones I've caught. Maybe dark rough eye?

14 lb silver out of Seward, nice fish but well shy of the eventual derby winner. 2013-08-17 16.54.04.jpg

That looks like a silvergray to me. I've never heard anyone say that dusky's were great eating. Maybe you been mis-id'ing them?
