I don't know why I'm so excited,I'm just gonna be the packer. But after years of the family puting in,I had to talk my dad into puting in for Ox.After many years of funding F&G and no return my dad had to be "talked into"puting in for them this year.

It is kinda funny, the day before the draw I reminded him that the tags were suposed to be out tomorrow at five. All us kids talked about what tag we dreamed of pulling, nameing more than one.My dad said, out of every tag I put in for I hope I just get a Musk-Ox.

When the draw came out my family did pretty good, out of seven of us,five of us drew six tags.Thats the most we have seen the ol' last name in the winners list! There has only been four tags in twenty years out of all of us.Besides my nephew's bear tag,Dad scored the best,A Nunivak fall musk-ox tag!!!

We just booked Abraham David for the transporter. We are planning on Aug 30-Sep 10.I've heard the waterfowl hunting was great that time of year,so hopefully I can get some more fun out of the trip.

Well sorry for dragging on but wondering if any of you have done this hunt this time of year?Ive heard the silvers run there then, but was wondering if they get a run of char? And wondering if there are Bears on the Island?

I only know of two pepole that has went in september and there was no info, exept they both used Abe,and they both got an Ox,so any info would be much appreciated. He is suposed to call in the next few days to answer some questions[I've only spoke with his wife]But hope some of you could share some advice. Can not wait to go on this hunt and hope it will be a succsessful hunt report!!!

Ox, reindeer, and redfox.........pretty sure that's the extent of your choices. Must hunt out of a boat?

Any Alaska res can do a fall ox hunt in unit 22. 22D remainder and 22E have aug 1 openings. Registration hunt. Free. No 500 buck tag. Couple places a guy can fly in on a drop hunt and do Bou, Moose, Griz Bear, & Ox. Our own Sen. Donny Olsen has a charter biz working out of Nome during hunt season. Brian Simpson does fall guided Ox in 22D remainder.

Congrats on the tag. Should be interesting.

I went with Abe on my Feb 2010 hunt. You got the best guy on the island. Awesome experience, i hope to do again some day with my son.

Kotton,

First off; congrats to your Dad on drawing a very hard to get tag.

You do have a possibility of hunting reindeer on Nunivak island. I believe Abe said the price for a reindeer was around $200.00.

I had a friend who went last year. He wished he had brought his fishing pole. He said salmon were everywhere.

Good luck to you and your dad on a hunt of a lifetime.

You know were I'll be the last five days of moose season,You know your welcome to tag along...Unless you get lucky early season.

I got a few spots thatll need attention....id like to get another decent bull, its been what 5-6 years since that one I hijacked from you?...Sporkies are always nice but its time to level up....in fact id really like to bag a 60" this year but I can only pray and hope....I will tell you this though, if i see a shooter bull, rest assured ill have more than just one bullet with me, and it aint gunna be no single shot rifle niether! ;) ;)
