Buddy has it, probably heading out mid November or so after we get off the slope.

The Tatlanika was still open a bunch as of today. It would be practically impossible to come back with a moose in a sled right now.

I think those going in now are going in on wheelers. The big questions how frozen is the ground up there?

As of, last weekend I think, both creeks were solid for crossing and the ground was brown at Gold King Cr.

update

update

Last weekend main rivers were frozen, some smaller creeks had open water still but accessible. not much snow and trail was real rough. off trail had very limited snow...lots of hunters, not many moose

just a few days left!

Another year of drawing this tag and curious about trail / river conditions. Anyone have recent info...seems like access should be possible.

You may need both, depending on the weather and more so the conditions of the two rivers you will have to cross.
If you go in early and rivers are open and no snow you will want the Argo. It can take a week or two of below zero before the rivers freeze and have enough snow to use a snowgo.

I always think the earlier the better, less cold and more daylight.

Looks like your new here, start a new thread this one is old

Beware, those river crossings can be deep and swift. Argo's float, but they will wash downstream in the current and you may loose the whole shitaroo!
