I bought my Dillon 550b a couple/few years ago, and I've used it a half a dozen times or so. My relatively infrequent use is because when I do set it up I crank-out a boat load of ammo, so I really don't need it for a while. I've only loaded 10mm, 45acp, and some 223 with it. (I still use a single stage for all other applications).

I guess my point is that every time I use my Dillon I am absolutely amazed at the fairly seamless production potential of that machine. For example, I spent a few hours yesterday and a couple of hours this morning...and I loaded nearly a thousand rounds of 45acp, despite the fact that every so often I check the powder charge and OAL (which is always consistent).

I really like that machine...

Yes, for loading pistol and revolver ammo it's hard to beat a Dillon. But the mother of all presses is Redding's T7 for other ammo where speed does not matter.

A coworker of mine loads a bunch of .45, .40, and .38-caliber ammo with his Dillion press. He is quite happy, because it saves him a lot of time. He shoots quite a lot at the indoors range during the winter.
