Dillingham

I'm going to be in Dillingham for a few days in mid September.

I know there's a lot of fishing in surrounding areas at lodges or with a boat but does anybody have any info as to what would be available via the road network? (like after work?)

You could drive down Wood River road and try for silvers by the boat launch there. or 26 miles to Lake Aleknagik for dolly varden.
Best bet is to get in a boat and go up the Nushagak for silvers.

You may be able to find rainbows right off the point at the boat landing at Aleknagik. I've even seen people fish for silvers where the Kanakanak road crosses Squaw Creek. There used to be pike in the ponds down the private road from Twin Lakes. Shannon's Pond has a few too. Snake Lake has a few dollies. All are within ac45 minute drive from town.

I should have a car so I'm hoping to still have enough daylight to do a little fishing after work!!
