When can we expect to see summer fuel in the Anchorage area?

I belive mid or begining May.

And it is not a #1 or #2 clean clear switch. They just start mixing it in, it may take months to mostly switch, and then it is time to start blending back the other direction.

Naw, it don't take that long. Urban stations that sell a lot of fuel can blend it over in just a coupla weeks, out laying stations it takes a bit longer.

Remember it gets blended (4) four times. So it never really is pure one or the other. It gets blended in the pipeline from the refiner, gets blended at the storage tank (Say in Anchorage), then it gets blended in truck to the station, Then it gets blended in the 10,000 tank at the station, lastly it gets blended in your truck fuel tank. It is never 100% summer fuel with 0% Paraffin added. The real smart puppies like the fuel delivery guys who deliver stove oil, they use summer fuel in there oil furnace, but you need to keep the fuel warm in the tank, lest it jell.
