I wore my neck out having too much fun in life. And now have to have another surgery. But we'll get some cabin time in. Our daughter helped me get a couple hundred 1x6x8' pine TnG boards for the upstairs ceiling freighted out last spring. I'm going to put a small air conditioner in the insulated generator shed for a walk in meat locker. We hauled in a small freezer too. Now when a moose gets harvested the clock won't tick as hard. Since our cabin is remote fly in in the summer we would have to get the plane to the lake we use a couple miles south. And weather can get touchy. Now we will be able to process the moose out there n freeze it. We have a vacuum sealer there too.
We also got our 100 gallons of gasoline in for the year. Yeah that was a couple good loads but not bad. Nice to have the supplies there. Would like to finish the sandpoint well this year. We normally don't haul much water as we use a MSR water purifier pump and the little pond or creek out front. But my goal is to have running potable water at the kitchen faucet.
We're also building a new home this year so been kinda busy with that. And another good reason why I need some cabin time. Cabin work is enjoyable, peaceful.
Hey thought I'd check in n see how you all are doing snogos are ready

Surgeries are not fun but don't consider it a setback. I've had one neck fusion and four lower back surgeries. It is all in the mind. Just keep going and don't give up.

Oic, and sorry to hear that. Thought maybe it was because of your military service, which if I've never said, I thank you for.

I was joking about the abbs. Thanks, the back did happen in the military, but no one saw it happen, so it did not happen according to the VA. Even though I have records that I reported to the VA the day after my discharge and was treated for four internal organ issues

Eh, we never give up. Alaskan. Just a tune up. When the Dr asks if I remember any injuries I tell him how I slipped on the side of a mountain while showing our daughter one of the most beautiful places I've seen. And where her great grandparents homesteaded.
Biggest issue for me is dealing with not getting out to the cabin as much as I want. Oh well I'll settle for a campfire and family in the back yard.
No problems only solutions here

Eh. I'm getting my neck fused again when our daughter gets home from the slope. We watch 3 grandkids full time. What a hoot. Couple of them were city kids so green. I told them about our cabin, m afraid to go out there might have an accident. Just don't have an accident, jeesh.
I'll handle it have fun. Somehow I had 3 machines through the pros to look over. Now nothing runs n I have more grandkids. You'll have that. Not even my snogo so I kinda got a bit kinda poopy n had a little poopy fit. All cool now.
The sun is finally coming up behind the house for a peek. We're building a new custom retirement home so that's a cool project. Sat where the deck is going watching the sun set, RnR bottle magically appeared, oh yeah. I was still home. Local moose, little bull lost his antlers last week if you're the kinda guy keeping track of cool stuff like this. I've trained our chessy to find antlers. Good dog chews, life's great

I’ve not trained my dog to find antlers. I must be a slacker! Glad to hear you are rolling with the punches and enjoying life.

Momspond. Good luck with the surgery. I've had five back surgeries and they have all gone well. It is amazing what the surgeons can do these days compared to my first surgery.

Every time I read one of these posts I think of the album..
The smoker you drink the player you get.
Still, I hope the surgery goes well for you and has the intended consequences. Good on you for watching the second generation of parasitic humans. I love mine and I am jealous that you get to spend so much time with yours. Good on you.
Take lots of pics of the build, we love pics.

You can say that again. It's been about 25 years ago now but at the time my 70-year-old father had outpatient disc surgery. He was up bbq'ing the next day. Unfortunately, we lost him 2 years later to walking pneumonia.

Yeah I don't have any problems. Only solutions. I still get out even if it's a burn in the yard. Kids, fires, good dogs. Cold whiskey n pretty wife
Eh, it's kinda my job to help them to not be paracidic folks. They will be ready for life when the time comes and I will still be there to support them all I can. We don't have a lot of money but are the richest folks around. We have our family around us. Live in AK. Log cabin in the middle of nowhere Alaska. Our family will now have that cabin forever. Moose in the yard.
Bills are paid n I can have a shot of whiskey puhhhh, most blessed man in the world
