canning with cans

I'm interested in canning with cans for easier transportation, does anyone have experience with cans?

I know I can use the same pressure cooker but from what I understand I need some sort of lid sealer gadget and the process is a little different than with jars.

Canned a lot of smoked salmon back in the day. Dosen't look like the process has changed much. We followed extension service guidelines.

I saw the can lid crimping tool at Walmart in Wasilla. They had cans as well.

the extension office has booklets on how to can.. with cans. The can sealer would (should) come with instructions.

I looked up the crimping tool and WOW!!! I didnt expect them to be that expensive!! I check the classifieds and see what pops up.
