Regardless of caliber or gauge, I value reliability over everything. For a shotgun, I will stick with the ones I trust. To each his/her own.

Ranting: You might want to know more about the people you are implying have not spent time in grizz country. Despite the short barrel looking tacticool, and nice size for breaching/entry, for my personal needs I like having larger capacity.
