What did you do for your cabin interior and why? I'm looking for options other then Sheetrock. Thanks guys

Depends on weather or not you want it to look nice or just throw somethin' up.....

Ceilings are 1/2" ply painted white. reflects the light well.
Walls are WP6 pine with a 1/3-1/3-1/3 mix of fast dry oil varnish, boiled linseed oil and pure tung oil in two applications.
Jambs and trim is all oiled pine.

Mix of 1x4's and 1x6 clear varnish. Something to drive a nail into so you can hang stuff.

Knotty pine ceilings against log walls. The addition is all just knotty pine. I love the look of wood.

Upstairs, OSB (rough side out), taped, mudded, and textured. Painted like sheetrock. Could never tell the difference from actual sheetrock.

Downstairs, OSB, with 3/16" tongue and groove knotty pine and varathane over it.

OSB in part of it. T1-11 in other areas. Painted, mostly. Still not done with that. OSB is lighter to transport than sheetrock, and less likely to get banged up. Not much protection from fire though. Keeping a couple good fire extinguishers handy is a good idea at a cabin anyway.

Tongue and grove red cedar, had it shipped up from Oregon. In the bed rooms, painted the ceiling and one wall white, rest natural cedar, did not paint the cedar, love the smell of it.

I went with the cluttered look interior. Bigger cabin still in planning stage.

I'm liking the wood/paint combination. I've seen some osb that has been stained and looks good too.

It must be Fir, since I haven't heard of smart side. It's been up quite a few years

That's quite the stove you've got goin' on there.......

I came into it on a trade with a lodge owner. Showed up at the cabin one day and it was gone. The original owner stole it back. I eventually got another one from him that was smaller. Started locking the cabin after that.
