cabin for rent

HI. We are looking for a cabin to rent (off the grid) for anywhere from a few weeks to a month. Preferably in area with good fishing/hunting that is fairly isolated. Does anyone know of any cabins that might be available? We're not looking for anything too fancy, but needs to be fairly tidy with a good roof. lol thks

We have not looked into forest service cabins...in fact we completely forgot about that option. We're not too fussy as far as location but would prefer somewhere in the interior or even south slope if that's even a possibility. Most likely the fall. We would prefer a cabin that can only be reached via bush plane. Thks!!

Forest service cabins are at Reserve America. I think there is a time limit on the length of stay though and they get booked about three months in advance during prime times.

Not sure about the Tongass cabins these days, but the Chugach cabins are rented directly through recreation.gov

There are quite a few in the Tongass. They do book up but you can reserve them 6 months in advance. If you are hunting, some allow access to goats.
