On my hewes I have a toliet. Now after the first time being used when I driving the toliet will fill up. I have moved the top knob and the bottom knob and it still fills with water. Anyone knows the correct postion for these to knobs so water does not fill the toliet?
Thanks

toilet filling up.

toilet filling up.

I have a toilet on my SeaSport and I have had people leave the levers in all different positions and the toilet does not fill up. The toilet does have a warning on it. It states that you should not leave the main suction valve open when not in use for long periods while in the water. For the life of me I cant remember the position the flaper valve is in when in the closed position. Sounds like you have a leaking flaper valve.

Does it have a setting for wetting and a setting for pumping? Maybe a Jabsco? You might try calling the head manufacturer. Until then, close the seacock when you're under way and open it only when you need to flush the head. That may mean that you can only use it while stopped.

It's the seacock that they recommend keeping closed if you're not going to be around your boat for a while. I've heard that the main reason for boats sinking while in the slip is the seacock being open and the hose that hooks to it leaks. I always shut mine before going to sleep, just in case. Also, all thru-hull fittings should have two clamps holding the hose on.
