Finally bit the bullet and got myself a SxS.
Was going to get a Honda but the salesman never got back to me and ignored my calls and emails.
Honda was not local to me so I went and talked to the local guys after researching the machines they sell.
Walked in, made a deal and walked out. :grin2:
My new 2021 Can-Am Defender Pro Limited is awaiting the last of the accessories I purchased for it and it's sitting on the lot teasing me.
This thing is going to be a lot of fun. :thatsallfolks:

Well done! That is a fine looking SXS. I bought a Honda 1000 this fall. The local <insert Anchorage Honda> wouldn't give me the time of day. Unless, I put up $500.00 deposit on an ATV. So I took my business elsewhere. Too bad for them.

Enjoy your new ride!

I wonder how much fresh powder you could ride in in that thing before you get stuck?

If I had to deal with the snow you guys get in Alaska I would be getting Can-Am's Apache Backcountry LT Track System.
They're made for deep snow. The one's I have can be used year round in all kinds of conditions but you give up super deep snow type conditions to achieve that. Here where I live in Yellowknife you're lucky to have 3 1/2 feet on the ground.

It didn't occur to me to use the komatic-type sled in the summer. How well did it work for you?

The second picture is one for the Sexy Tracked Rigs calendar. :shades::handthumbup:

Still had lots of snow on the trail up from the lake so it worked pretty good.
Even backing it in over the snowless terrain wasn't bad at all.
UHMW sliders are the bees knees!!!! :grin4:

Been busy this summer and forgot to post the latest pic of the ride.
I installed my Fisher Trailblazer V-Plow and it turned out awesome.
May have gone a little overboard on the lighting, but I will be plowing an 8 mile long road over the ice to my cabin. :smile2:

If he doesn’t he will need more than a larger battery. It would not be that hard to calculate, or measure the load to see if the alternator is big enough to keep the battery charged while running all the lights and plow. Or just wait and see what happen.

Yes I have also upgraded the battery. Gone is the crappy little factory one and it has been replaced with an Optima Yellow Top AGM.
There is also block heater, battery blanket and a 4 amp charger/maintainer to keep the battery topped up.
