Better picture of the Tundra Truck

Thought you guys might like to see a better picture of the truck that is out in the tundra up North(Tundra Dummy thread). Lets not start another bash fest as I suppose these guys are very well aware that they screwed up. Just thought you might like to see just how deep they went. The picture in the other thread is just a shot from way up in the air.

Just throwing this out there but wouldn't his insurance cover this? Granted, its on a larger scale but it boils down to a stuck vehicle. It looks like a newer vehicle so its probably financed and would have full coverage. When I got mine stuck my insurance paid for the tow truck to pull me out, no questions asked.

Unless you get towing insurance, which is usually an add on, the only time most insurance companies will tow with no questions asked is if it is in conjunction with an accident. If you slide off the road and get stuck, that's an accident, I don't think this would qualify. Regardless who pays, I'd love to know how they finally get them out.

I was an insurance adjuster in the state of Alaska for awhile and I can tell you although insurance companies pay for stupidity (truck follows boat down ramp into drink after driver forgets park brake etc..) all insurance personal auto policies require due diligence and usually dont pay for illegal acts.

This wasnt an "accident", it was a premeditated illegal act. Due dilligence requires that the hunters know and obey the rules and regs.
This fiasco is not under the auspice of coverage.

I'd really like to know how the are going to get the trucks out, especially this one.

Right now the authorities are talking about a helicopter. The red one will be easy to get out come freeze-up but this one will freeze-in for good. There is not enough solid ground around it to jack it up out of the soup it is in.

Yes, but not half as deep or half as far. It has stock tires so the front of it just sunk a few inches and it was done.

I'm sure the recovery will cost far in excess of the value of the vehicle.

The "foreign" truck comment is somewhat commical, as "US" made trucks are correctly American made trucks, as in North America, as in a collaboration of Canada, Mexico and the US. I'd say Toyota trucks are just as "American" being built in the U.S., maybe even more so than some of the big 3 domestic offerings.

I haven't studied this topic in a while, but last I knew, toyota is given tax breaks for assembling their vehicles here in the US. I know that is the case in Ohio and one of the southern states (Tennessee??). Other states have tried to allow these "tax breaks" to other companies and there are now cases being decided at the federal level concern this issue.

I think Toyota is allowed to race certain vehicles in US races (truch series comes to mind) because Toyota is ASSEMBLED in the US.

I also know that a few years ago, Honda vehicles had MORE AMERICAN/US MAN HOURS in them than any other vehicle on the road.

I also know that the ONLY AMERICAN/US part on one of the "Big 3" vehicles (don't remember which one), were the tires.

I still ride in a "big 3" cab, but I often wonder if I am supporting my country or not!

I think I will stick to my Fords. I think I know where I can get a good deal on a lifted F150 that just needs a extraction and a good wash job I currently own six fords so I don't think the wife would notice one more in the driveway..

Cannot be baited (No Gas Cans)
Only Stock Models can be taken (No added extras)
Must be stripped and carried out in its entirety (Steering wheel being the last part carried out)
Must be taken to local garage for inspection tag.
