I have some that I have never used...

Since I can't find powders I want, like IMR 4350, RL-19 and IMR 4831...
I figured I would try to load this stuff into something or another...

Since it seems to be close to IMR 3031 on the burn chart, has anyone used it in a 45-70 load?

I can't help with .45-70 info, but it works well in my .223 bolt gun with 50-55 grain bullets. Should work in your 6.8 also. But I can't imagine anything working better than H322 in the 6.8 SPC.

It has become my #1 powder the 308 and 223 loads for the AR's and I am just starting some load development with the 45-70. I finally got sights back on my rifle. I'll be posting some Benchmark/45-70 loads soon. It is very clean burning, one of the exreme series of powders from Hodgdon's and is in the right burn rate for the 45-70. About like H4895 which is good for the 400 grainers, it is slightly faster burning, so should be very versatile.
