Just a reminder that the annual Fall Beginner Skijoring Clinic is
this coming Saturday, November 18. The classroom session (for skijorers
only) is at Alaska Feed from 10-1, the on-snow portion (for skijorer and
dog) is at Creamer's Field from 2-4. Students must attend the classroom
session to participate in the on-snow session. Preregistration is required
at Alaska Feed. The cost is $15.

To volunteer to assist with the on-snow session email Sara Elzey at
[email protected]. Thanks to all who have volunteered already.

Sounds like a great time!

Sounds like a great time!

Are there clinics like this held in Anchorage or the Valley? Have a 2 year old dog that is ready to begin training, and my wife and I may need a bit of instruction.

Thanks for any info!!

Looks like the Anchorage group holds two formal beginners clinics, but I would also suggest just contacting someone in the club and let them know your intersted in learning. They may be willing to meet with you one on one to get you started. Or they may do something like we do and hold regular informal training clinics.....nothing more than just a group of people getting together with young dogs and playing follow the leader and practice passing.
