Just wondering about doing a battery upgrade. Just wondering if anyone had done a battery upgrade from factory installed battery. Have a new Polaris 6x6 and wondering if a bigger better battery wouldn’t be a good idea. Additional thought has anyone ever done a double battery mod? If so is the charging system capable of handling that?

If you have room and need more capacity then go for it. I have a buddy that added a full sized car battery to his Rhino. He has an open area under one of his seats and installed it there. He does a lot of winching and it helped him out. As far as your charging system, it will still recharge but atv's charge at a lower amperage. You will just have more reserve capacity for when you need it. Hope that makes sense.

On my 2021 Can-Am I removed the factory battery and where the factory battery was there are now positive and negative bus bars and a 4 amp charger maintainer.
Behind the passenger seat is a yellow top Optima. I have a pro grade plow, after market stereo and a bunch of LED lights on my machine too.

Good idea. When I used my Honda to plow the battery could not handle the constant winch use. I ran a couple jumpers to the back rack and put a regular automotive battery on the back rack. It was able to handle the abuse easily.
