I'll be in Wasilla in the middle of June. Anyone want to guess what this year's king season is going to be like on the Little Su or the Deska?

I predict a surprisingly good year.
were bound to have one eventualy...

And when it is, the weather will absolutely suck. If the weather is nice, the fishing will be suck. Either way, it is going to suck......And gas prices already suck and aren't going to get any better any time soon. Speaking of suckage...winter sucks.....How's that for optimism????

With the gas prices going up like they are, like back in 2008, the lower lil su, deshka and clear creek will be bare. Only the big $$$ can afford to load up a tank.

I predict some folks with catch fish and those who don't will blame commercial fishermen, and complain.

Well they should blame fish and game and the board of fish not the commercial guys! After all they are the ones who set the regs. and decides who gets what piece of the pie when there isn't any fish to begin with!

I predict.....wait for it......FUN FUN FUN!!!!! Catching fish is nice too.. But I have made more friends at Willow Creek State Recreational Area combat fishing than anywhere in my life. I didn't catch a whole lot last year. But I LEARNED a TON from some of the old sages that are down there throwing back 2 and 3 fish a day just to keep fishing! And, after listening to one older gentleman late in the King run, I switched to a certain color scheme of corkies and WHAMMO! I was getting a bite every 5 or so casts. The same occured when I got the proper color scheme of Vibrax spinner going after silvers in July! But let's focus on the most important part of it. Meet great people, make new friends, enjoy family, and watch your kids have a blast!!!!

Don't forget to get your anuall parking pass. I didn't last year cuz I thought I wouldn't get out fishing alot....ended up spending $100 on parking fees at the parks booths when I could have spent half that on a parking pass.....

Yep, and they will all go through the days I am fishing the Little Su......

C'mon Man! No seriously, I felt that way after the 2009 season. But when it turns around it turns around in a hurry.

It is about location, location, location and how much time you are willing to put in.
