Sad news. Sorry there are fatalities, but glad to know there are survivors.

The update article says that folks needed to use FLASH-LIGHTS and CAR HEAD LIGHTS to look for the wreckage off of East Wind lake.
The report was logged in at 0630hrs local time, so the boo-boo happened before then. It sounds like it might have been a wee bit dark at the time.

Yup, it had to have been just a bit on the dark side. And some low scattered stuff, it seems. Man, couldn't they have waited a little bit. 20/20 Hindsight.....

Engines making power upon impact usually exhibit a forward curling of the prop blade tips. ( I know it seems like it should be the opposite)
These blades seem to only be bent backwards at the blade base with no tip curling. My one dollar bet would be that the blades were bent back from impact with little to no thrust being produced.

I am glad most folks lived through the impact.
The 3 guys who died were certainly older than anyone else on the plane. I wonder if it was age or seat placement?

Since there are survivors, we will know in a few days.... Although if I was the pilot of any fatal crash, I would not say squat until I had a good lawyer.
