Anchor River Reports?

Anchor R. opens the weekend before Memorial Day weekend.

A buddy tried the Anchor last weekend and came away empty-handed. He didn't see any action among any of the bankies.
However, he said the boats that were trolling herring just offshore from the mouth of the river were slaying the kings.
Definitely, need to get a boat!!!

Due to the sunshine and warmth of the last two days, the run-off from the hills has increased and the river is the highest it's been this spring.......very murky.
Also a reminder for those contemplating trolling "just off shore from the mouth" of the Anchor......there is a two mile conservation zone; 2mi. north and 2mi. south of the mouth......it includes trolling a mile offshore in that conservation zone.......just a heads up in case you weren't familiar.
