Hello all, I am taking my dad back up to Alaska from Aug. 23 - Sept. 1. We are going on a Halibut charter out of Anchor Point and my dad was wanting to try for some silvers after the halibut trip. Dad is 78 years old with two fake hips. He can walk pretty good but not on too rough of terrain. Can anyone give me any pointers on fishing for silvers? Would it be best to wait for the tides down at the mouth, or would you need to get up stream a ways?
Dad would be content to sit and fish with bait or to cast with spinner baits (just not at the fishing hole on the spit at Homer). He may be old and half crippled but he still has some dignity. Ha! Ha!
Thanks for any advice you can give.
