I'm not new to this site but haven't posted much because of the old format. This new format is GREAT!

Anyone purchase new aluminum boats this year? Got any pictures? Have a preference of one boat/motor vs. another? Anyone have any neat tricks of the trade or nifty gadgets they've installed?

Here's a pic of the new 21' NR Seahawk! Can't wait to start the fishing/hunting season!

Nice boat! I like the sea drive. Yamaha or Honda 4 strokes are great motors.
One extra that is real nice is a second depth finder screen for the stern. The guys in the back can follow bottom while the driver pays attention to what he/she is doing.

Happy fishing
Tony

Good one...although I don't think the wife will allow any more 'necessary' purchases for the boat. I have the new Garmin 498 and it works flawlessly. Large enough screen to view from the dumb end of the boat for now.

Anyone using a bruce type anchor? I need to know how your rigging it so I can get it unstuck if needed. Pictures?

Nice boat. I sold my 20' NR Seahawk last year. I use a claw anchor and attach the rode and shackle to the front end of the anchor, then tie the rode off to the end of the shank using 300# cord. If the anchor ever gets stuck you can break the cord and pull the anchor up from the tines.

Agree...

Agree...

Same method, and I set the trip line with several zip ties or the same cord. You almost have to do that because the anchors are awesome at what they do...

Yeah, I'll give you call in a while....back to work tomorrow for two. Did I mention that this boat handles like a dream and cuts through the chop like warm butter. So far I'm extremely happy with her...REEL ADDICTION.

Nice Aurora! One day I'll graduate to a hard shell. Is that Deep Creek? Two more weeks and lookout kings!

That was taken in a parking lot just outside of Anchor Point I beleive. Once you get a hard top, you'll never go back to canvas.

How many feet and I see twin Hondas on the back. What size?

I can't believe there aren't more alum boat people out there willing to post a pic or two.
