Launching above the old glen about a mile+/-
Mini's welcome
If your boat is 25ft or less you'll have no problem, even with these low water levels

My boat is sitting at Bass Pro waiting to get some new gadgets installed, and won't be done until that weekend. If it ends up getting done early, I'd love to come! I've never done the Knik and want to go with a group for sure. 20ft Custom Weld Cobra SE.

Can you run up there with an inflatable with an prop outboard, something like a saturn or inmar type boat or is that too risky with logs and cold water?

Maybe.... I don't know that I would run it with a prop though. Depends on your skill level and if you are okay with potentially bumping your prop on the bottom. At low water you might run into spots that are just too shallow. At high water the lower river (a couple miles above the old Glenn bridge) has a lot of barely submerged sandbars. I haven't really experienced logs free floating downriver, although there are some spots where there is a fair amount of debris lodged in the river. This weekend might be a good middle ground of deep enough channels with most of the sandbars still exposed... I'm making my first run of the year on Saturday. I run a 20' outboard jet and even if I tried to stay to the deep spots I feel like I always cross a few shallow spots.

Related note, is the launch spot up river, right next to the old Glenn Bridge good to go yet? I haven't used the spot a mile above, but it seems like that is a super early season spot only??
