Cowbells with a hair ball leach behind them with a tiny piece of shrimp for scent.

Not looking for a specific location, but what body of water did that beauty come from?

Here's a 30" rainbow, caught on eggs. from shore while fishing for dollies down off Harbor Terrace Road just out of Soldotna . . caught about six years or so ago . . .

Those are some beautiful fish no doubt! I haven't quite been able to break the 30" mark and I know how special it is to get one of those beasts to the net so congrats to you both! I'm a little bit surprised by that last pic though. I seem to remember that there's something like an 18" max size limit to retain rainbows on the lower Kenai. That last guy is going to have a tough time swimming away with half his head removed...:mad:

I'm sure it reincarnated into a nice fat brown trout shortly after the pic was taken. Therefore free to roam the septic tank at its' pleasure.

Nice fish but I think 30 is a stretch

I agree, pic from the op is shot way close up, the only thing you got to compare the fish to is the 24 inch trout net so i would guess about 24 inches, still a nice catch. The other photos posted are more of what i would expect a 30 inch trout to look like
