20A Caribou

Hey Guys,

Wifey has a 20A Caribou tag for this year. We did some scouting in a 180 this week and didn't see any bou. We were in Japan Hills area and it's probably a little early for that.

Anyone have a good idea where we should shoot to land? Had some names thrown about, but having trouble finding airstrips for the 180.

Any help is appreciated.

There is an airstrip between st. peters creek and gold king creek. Landed there in a helio a few years back. We saw plenty of bou running around and a few black bear too.

I think my wife and I are flying into that same runway next week. I sent you a PM if you don't mind telling us a little about the area, we've hunted the Ferry Trail system of 20A but not the northern benches.

I hunted that area quite a while back. Just like caribou hunting anywhere, get to the best (highest) vantage point possible, and glass, glass, glass.
