Long-time lurker, first-time poster. Just bought my first muzzleloader (CVA Accura MRX 50cal) and I'm trying to get all set up. I can find powder/pellets and bullets just fine, but I'm having a hard time finding 209 primers. I managed to find some Win 777 primers and Remington Kleanbores at Cabela's, but I'd really love to find some magnum primers like CCI 209M or Federal 209A to try out the BH209 I found the other day. Has anyone happened to see any around the Anchorage, MatSu, or Kenai areas? I've seen some online in cases of 1000, but I'd really like to make sure my rifle likes the primer before I buy a lifetime supply of them. Thanks!!!

Well, it looks like everything I've seen online is either a scam site or out of stock on legitimate websites...

Sportsmans in Soldotna had some of the hotter 209 primers for muzzleloaders a few weeks ago.
All of mine use percussion caps so I didn't buy any.
100 per pack limit of 2 per day.
Didn't ask the price.
Might be worthwhile to give them a call.

Thank you so much kasilofchrisn! I'll give them a call and keep my fingers crossed.

I know the ammo shortage was bad and I heard reloading equipment got hit pretty hard too, but I was hoping it was all on the upswing now that ammo is more available. Trying to find primers has been ridiculous though. Lots of powder, just no primers.

I have some that I can spare and not at scalper's price either. I am in Anchorage, message me if you need any still.

Thanks love2hunt, I appreciate the offer! I actually recently found a 1000 pack of Nobelsport 209s that I'm hoping will work out. I've heard them and the Cheddites are pretty hot for 209 primers

I have 3 boxes of Winchester 209's. I don't reload and got them in a buyout of someone quitting reloading. I'll be over in Anch. around the 3rd if anyone wants them. Not asking anything for them.
