Well I can't top Chris' ram....but I walked a little farther for mine! HA! What it lacks in inches it makes up for in sweat equity!!!!!! My first ram, and glacier hunt. 34 miles round trip, 27 of them on glaciers. Something I will never forget. Special thanks to my hunting partner, Blake, for capturing some killer pictures.

Taking the shot.

Wow! Kudos to your photographer friend for the great photos. I think those photos might make the top ten list for all time most creative hunting photos (if there is an award out there). Great photos. Really captured the emotions of the hunt. On another note, I am curious how you assessed the legality of the ram. Did the bio give the ram an age over 8 years old? Don't get me wrong, it looks like a quality ram, and the mass on the beams is very impressive, but it looks a little shy of full curl to me. And I see it is broomed on 1 side, but the other side is not broomed. Thanks for taking the time to post your unique photos.

Thanks for the kind words!

....like Chris said I had an any ram tag. Most of the rams in that area struggle to make full curl based on their horn type...or at least that's what the bio said.....here's a few more pics for those inquiring minds.

Curious what more experienced sheep hunters have to say on his age....I'll let the cat out of the bag (bio's evaluation) once some opinions come in. I've had a range of opinions. So I'm super curious what y'all have to say.

Thanks for answering my questions. I'll take a stab. I'm guessing 7 1/2 years old.

for purposes of legality, i'd say legal by age, 8 yrs old. If I had to judge it in the field, though, he'd walk based on age, as last ring is just above the hairline and is debatable.

Nice! Good for you. I'm assuming since you are a non-resident that this trip was guided? Doesn't matter either way. 3 critters in 10 days is quite an accomplishment no matter how you did it. Mind sharing what area of the state you were in? Looks very familiar. I used to be a guide. That is why I am wondering. Thanks for posting pics. And the ram you shot is beautiful.

Wow! Good for you guys. That's doing really good. Is that your first ram? 41 inches is quite the accomplishment. It's all down hill from there.
