No "hotrodding". Just Hodgon data Ruger only load. 355gr wfn over LilGun at 1200fps. Shot end to end on the 60yd buck. Broadside pass through on the 110yd lung shot.

Nice. I bet that would pass through most animals.

First Sheep!! Got this brute back in late August.

Also got a mountain goat early August. Words cannot express how thankful I am.

WOW!!! Both are very impressive trophies! Especially the sheep. What a bruiser! He is a tank for sure. I really like that last picture with just the ram in the photo. What did the bio age him at? Looks to me like 11 or possibly 12 years old. How big was your goat?

So next time someone poses the question...

Which clothing is best for goats... we won't be seeing kiui, polartec, primaloft, mountain hardware etc...

The answer is NIKE! Awesome.

Way to get it done!!!

Thanks!!

Bio aged the ram at 10 years old. They seemed to think he broke his horns back 2 years. I was so nervous about shooting a sub legal ram, turned out this guy was legal in all three categories!

The goat was a day hunt in SE from salt to salt and was a 20hr day. Turns out he was a 3.5 year old with 8.5" horns. The meat is sooo good!
My buddy tagged a billy that day too. His was a 4.5 year old.

Hahaha. Thanks for the kind words. I've never worn camo gear for big game. When I was growing up all the good outdoor gear was made by companies like The North Face and Patagonia. That Nike shirt is 7 years old and still going strong, it surprised me its lasted this long!

Baranof those ram pics are super!! I will add some friendly advice. The second photo would have been the best sheep picture of the year...if your hand had not been on the horn. Not knocking the sheep or you your pic, just something to think about next time that can take a great photo and just blow it away!! Taken hundreds of dead animal photos and always trying to improve mine as well.

Shoot! Thanks for the advice. My wife took a ton of pictures so I'll go through and see if I have any without my hand on the horns.

Cheers!

Don't beat yourself up! I still do stuff I shouldn't with photos all the time. Little tips here and there have been helpful for me though. I always figure maybe something will happen to my horns or whatever and photos may be all I get so I try to make them great!

Not that it matters, but I disagree with the biologist saying he is only 10 years old. My guess is he is at least 11. It would be interesting to get a second opinion from another biologist. Either way it is one heck of a ram. Best looking ram I've seen all year.

Found a few without my hand on the horn! Like I said. We went a little nuts with the photos, we couldn't believe it happened!

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely get a second opinion. He only had one tooth left in his upper mouth. The taxidermist seemed to think he may not have made it another year.

I'm with Jack - I came up with 11 as well, but of course I don't have the ram in my hands, so perhaps I'm off.

That is a truly spectacular ram, sir. Very, very well done!

Congrats on the great ram I like your second set of photos you posted especially the second picture of that set. Looks like
gorgous country, and very cool that it was you and your wife on the hunt.

Congrats on the nice sheep and goat Baronofborn. Those are some of the best pictures I have ever seen. Not a speck of blood in sight. The ram is a beauty for sure. He is a old timer of the mountain. Thanks for posting them.
