1st Time for Rabbit Need Advice

Me and a buddy want to take his 12 year old daughter out to get some rabbit. She has really expressed an interest in hunting and eating what is taken. So I figured we can start off with small game. I have done Grouse hunting and will be taking her to do that but it is a ways off. So I figured we can go get some rabbits. I have not really researched areas yet as I hope to get good info here. If anyone is willing to share some locations and tactics it
would be greatly appreciated!!

Most of us quit shooting Snow Shoe Hare the end of March, because they begin seriously breeding at that time..

In many places it is technically open year-round and the limits are usually generous, but in addition to the breeding concerns, hares are also more likely to carry parasites that can be harmful to humans in the spring and summer months. That is another reason why folks stop hunting hares as winter ends.

If you want to drive out to big lake I'm goin out this afternoon mostly to take pictures, maybe put a big ol male in the pot, means how we are running out of meat and bear is a ways off.
