    How deep? I hear they go a little shallower this time of year.

    I don't know about Homer, but when I lived in Kodiak, they'd come in shallow in the spring and summer. Like 70-100 ft deep shallow. Same with the King Crab. Sometimes even got King Crab in less than 50 ft of water. But our normal depth was 12-20 fthms. Right in front of the Dog Bay harbor.
