    Default PWS slow and steady....

Patience has been the word for early fishing in the Sound this year. It's been slow, but the box has been looking ok by day's end. A 70lber is as big as we've seen so far, but most keepers are in the 30-50lb range. I think faster fishing is coming in the near future as I still haven't made it to many of the spots I fish. It hasn't exactly been flat, sunny, and beautiful this year... Shrimping has been as good as it ever gets for me.

How deep have you been fishing? Headed out tomorrow morning for the south sound somewhere.....mostly fishing but will have a smokepole for black bear.

We've caught them from 80-1000' this year. The most consistent fishing has been from 250 down.

1000' foot? Them some unlucky fish as you must be the only boat out there even soaking in a 1000'!! Not even with a electric reel would I try it. I think your on to something!!

Fishing deep like that really produces some nice fish. Yep electric reels are the way we do it. Just have to fish slack tide to do any good though.

This year we've fished 1400-1800 feet. Caught sable fish, halibut, spiny dogfish, and shortrakers.
Your bait stinks and your boat is ugly
