Great to see your posting pics again on the saltwater forum, it's been keeping us excited to get down there for the derby! Great fish capt!
You bet akbearguide! It just goes to show how many times I drive past the fish to go find fish... when somebody pays us to guide them into some hot Winter King Fishing, I typiclly won't just come out of the Harbor and stop and fish as the clients think your jerking them around, but yesterday with a horrible forecast we discussed it, and we agreed that we would stay close to Home, and it paid off big time👍🏻.. we made ice most of the day, but the action and a crankin boat heater kept us warm😎
Dot you guys ever work captn Nemo?! Your killing me here. Lol. Wish I was there. Keep catching and posting.
Big Oll deck load today aboard the F/V Huntress, for some very special repeat clients! 3/4/17👍🏻 Fish strikes were a bit lethargic with the colder temps but the battles were nothing short of awesome!! Biggest over all load of winter salmon for 2017!! Gotta run way north and fish some hard deck for a week but will be back for our charter Friday!! Good luck to all and safe boating👍🏻
Nice! Saw you out on Saturday and Sunday. I was the little red hughes 220OP that you honked at when we hooked our first one. Ended Saturday with 3. Tried for 2 hours sunday but got skunked. My kicker controls were giving me trouble (I think they froze up) so we called it and came back home. Did you you find any on sunday?
A few nice kings around, but im here to tell you the ice in the harbor and constant N wind is Making in a challenge to get em... Mother Nature looking after them this winter👍🏻. If you make it out of the Homer harbor be safe and don't forget that you need to get back!! Safe boating and tight lines to all.... F/V Huntress 3/19/17..
Today or yesterday fish?

Wow, I never thought we would need ice breakers to fish for Kings. They always said Alaskans were tough. Just show these pictures to the folks fishing for Stripe Marlin in Cabo San lucas Mexico. LOL
Ice in harbor this am 3/20/17 was a bit tight from C-float to the entrance as it was only 15 degrees but on returning to harbor around 3:30 pm there was not only less ice to deal with but it was considerably softer as it was 33 degrees... hope everything is a go this weekend and we all get to fish together out on the bay... how ever it works out, be safe and don't hesitate to call if you need👍🏻👍🏻 F/V Huntresss.
